Saturday May 18 - Exhibit More Than a Store: A window into two Maine 1800s country stores: Lemuel Cotton (Hiram Village) and Sutton Edgecomb (Parsonsfield Kezar Falls) - See why these beloved stores were pillars of the community through their many, now considered unusual, services.




Saturday June 15 - Exhibit More Than a Store: A window into two Maine 1800s country stores: Lemuel Cotton (Hiram Village) and Sutton Edgecomb (Parsonsfield Kezar Falls) - See the colorful products and the customers who sold and bartered them. Discover why businesses drove from Portland - a day's ride - to buy. Uncover the idiosyncrasies of customers such as the poet/farmer James D. Wilder who visited the store several tmes a day and bought one cigar each time - why? An illuminating exhibit!


Saturday July 20 at 1:30p.m. - Author/storyteller Jo Radner reveals with her renowned humor the sly wit of the forgotten literary life of New England villagers in her latest book WIT and WISDOM. Book signing.




Saturday August - 17 at 1:30pm - Play Ball! Remembering baseball - bring your photos and share your memories of this important pastime from 1885 to the present at out informal gathering. Savor our display of the baseball bat made in the Cotton Ax Handle factory, uniformas of the trophy winning Hiram Aces and other area teams in our illustrious baseball history!


September - Date TBD - Bringing Ridlon School to life! Program and exhibit of the teachers and student "scholars" who attended the iconic one-room schoolhouse in South Hiram - perhaps some of your relatives!


Saturday October 19 at 12noon - Trash Can Turkey Roast and Museum Open HouseT - our popular annual feast of all our senses.
