Down East magazine received 250 photographs from towns around Maine to be published for Maine State Bicentennial celebrations. Hiram photograph was one of 12 selected for inclusion!
We submitted Congregational Church and Mt. Cutler School on Historical Ridge, Soldiers Memorial Library, Vintage road grader as seen in front of the Spanish American war statue on the Green, Cotton's Store, and the John Watson house.
Down East magazine selected the John Watson house photographed by Roger Flint during Hiram's Sesquicentennial celebrations. They liked the architecture, the composition of the photo showing the house sited between two trees, and the fact that it was in color, unlike most of the submissions.
Can't wait to see the article!
