New Event – “Rockin’ for Ridlon Schoolhouse”

Join us for an evening of family friendly rockin’ musical entertainment Saturday, April 11, from 6-8pm at the Hiram Arts Center, 8 Hancock Ave., Hiram.
The eclectic program will feature musician well known in Maine who play a variety of instrument and a variety of style – something for everyone.
Guest artists are Carlton Ming on jazz piano, Pedro Pererira on acoustic guitar, Stephen Tramblay, guitar, and the newly formed Archie’s Band – Lori Conway, Paul Matthieu, Bill Lenfest and Clay Neidlinger.
Clay, organizer of this event for the Society, has written a song specifically for the event.
The concert is a benefit for the reconstruction of Ridlon Schoolhouse. .
Suggested donation is $20 and refreshments will be available.
Formerly situated on Rt. 160 (photo below), this post and beam schoolhouse is the oldest one-room schoolhouse in Hiram and will be reconstructed on the Ossipee Valley Fair Grounds. HHS will be calling for volunteers to help with rebuilding when the time comes. Donations to the
